Brown finished 3-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brown defeated Massachusetts's Korey Dropkin 5-1, then went on to lose 5-1 against Currie. Brown responded with a 9-3 win over Minnesota's Dale Gibbs. Brown won 7-5 against Minnesota's Eric Fenson in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Coors Light Cash Spiel Championship title, Brown earned 4.500 world rankings points along with the $3,195CDN first prize cheque, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 60th place overall with 28.194 total points.
