Mike Wenger (Biel, SUI) finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wenger defeated Daniel Herberg (Fuessen, GER) 7-3, then won 10-4 against Ursi Hegner (Uzwil, SUI) and 5-4 against Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE) in their final qualifying round match.
