Holly Whyte (Grande Prairie, AB) lost 5-2 to Jessie Kaufman (Spruce Grove, AB) in the Final of the Avonair Cash Spiel, held October 4 - 6, 2013 at the Avonair Curling Club in Edmonton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Whyte won 8-3 over Brett Barber (Biggar, SK) in the semifinals of the 2013 Avonair Cash Spiel in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and won 8-1 over Yilun Jiang (Harbin, CHN) in the quarterfinals.
 
Whyte finished 2-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Whyte defeated Karallee Swabb (Edmonton, AB) 6-4, then won 8-6 against Delia DeJong (Grande Prairie, AB). Whyte went on to lose 7-3 against Bobbie Sauder (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Avonair Cash Spiel, Whyte take home 1.750 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN prize, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 101st place overall with 5.358 total points. Whyte ranks 65th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.750 points earned so far this season.
