Birt finished 4-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Birt defeated Beth Hamilton (St. John's, NL) 8-4, then won 9-5 against Melissa Adams (Grand Falls, NB) and 5-4 against Sylvie Robichaud (Moncton, NB). Birt won 7-6 against Shelley Nichols (St. John's, NL). Birt went on to lose 6-5 against Smith-Dacey in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Curl Atlantic Championship, Birt take home 2.100 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN prize, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 55th place overall with 12.713 total points.
