Heather Smith-Dacey (Halifax, NS) won 7-4 over Suzanne Birt (Charlottetown, PEI) in the Final of the Curl Atlantic Championship, held September 12 - 15, 2013 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. To advance to the championship game, Smith-Dacey won 7-3 over Kathy O'Rourke (Charlottetown, PEI) in the semifinals
 
Smith-Dacey finished 5-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Smith-Dacey defeated Melissa Adams (Grand Falls, NB) 10-3, then won 8-1 against Shelley Nichols (St. John's, NL) and 7-2 against Beth Hamilton (St. John's, NL). Smith-Dacey won 4-1 against Sylvie Robichaud (Moncton, NB), then won 6-5 against Birt in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Curl Atlantic Championship Championship title, Smith-Dacey earned 3.000 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 24 spots the World Ranking Standings into 69th place overall with 7.904 total points. Smith-Dacey ranks 28th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.000 points earned so far this season.
