Nielsen responded with a 7-6 win over Anna Hasselborg (Gavle, SWE). Nielsen went on to lose 8-6 against Yilun Jiang (Harbin, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.

Nielsen earned 1.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 24th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 64.930 total points. Nielsen ranks 63rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.500 points earned so far this season.
