Jiri Snitil (Prague, CZE) finished 5-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Snitil defeated John Shuster (Duluth, USA) 9-7, then won 6-4 against Finland's Aku Kauste. Snitil went on to lose 7-6 against Johnny Jahr (Fuessen, GER). Snitil lost 7-5 to Thomas Dufour (Chamonix, FRA) where Snitil responded with a 10-4 win over Korea's Soo-Hyuk Kim. Snitil earned 7.500 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Olympic Qualification Event.
