Murdoch won 6-5 against Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Murdoch earned 30.000 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Le Gruyere European Curling Championships, moving up 8 spots the World Ranking Standings into 17th place overall with 119.818 total points.
