William Lyburn (Winnipeg, MB) lost 6-5 to Kelly Marnoch (Carberry, MB) in the Final of the MCT Championships, held November 29 - December 1, 2013 in Beausejour, Manitoba. Lyburn finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lyburn defeated Richard Muntain (Pinawa, MB) 6-1, then won 8-3 against Justin Stanus (Winnipeg , MB) and 6-2 against David Kraichy (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the MCT Championships, Lyburn take home 2.275 world rankings points along with the $1,600CDN prize, dropping 1 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 33rd place overall with 52.413 total points. Lyburn ranks 62nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 11.725 points earned so far this season.
