Kelly MacIntosh (Dartmouth, NS) lost 6-3 to Heather Smith (Halifax, NS) in the Final of the Nova Scotia Scotties, held January 7 - 12, 2014 in Sydney, Nova Scotia. To advance to the championship game, MacIntosh won 9-8 over Mary-Anne Arsenault (Halifax, NS) in the semifinals of the 2014 Nova Scotia Scotties in Sydney, Nova Scotia;
 
MacIntosh finished 6-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacIntosh defeated Sarah Rhyno (Halifax, NS) 7-6, then went on to lose 7-6 against Smith. MacIntosh responded with a 4-3 win over Arsenault. MacIntosh won 9-1 against Jocelyn Nix (Kentville, NS), then won 5-3 against Mary Sue Radford (Halifax, NS) and 6-5 against Tanya Hilliard (Halifax, NS). MacIntosh won 6-5 against Anne Dillon (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Nova Scotia Scotties, MacIntosh take home 2.500 world rankings points, moving up 45 spots the World Ranking Standings into 149th place overall with 3.300 total points. MacIntosh ranks 123rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.500 points earned so far this season.
