Heather Smith (Halifax, NS) won 6-3 over Kelly MacIntosh (Dartmouth, NS) in the Final Smith advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the Nova Scotia Scotties, held January 7 - 12, 2014 in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

Smith finished 7-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Smith defeated Tanya Hilliard (Halifax, NS) 8-2, then won 7-6 against MacIntosh and 6-5 against Anne Dillon (Halifax, NS). Smith won 6-4 against Mary Sue Radford (Halifax, NS), then won 6-2 against Jocelyn Nix (Kentville, NS) and 6-5 against Sarah Rhyno (Halifax, NS). Smith won 5-4 against Mary-Anne Arsenault (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Nova Scotia Scotties Championship title, Smith earned 4.000 world rankings points, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 52nd place overall with 24.754 total points. Smith ranks 40th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 19.850 points earned so far this season.
