Smith finished 4-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Smith defeated Alex MacFadyen (Summerside, PEI) 10-7, then went on to lose 9-5 against Holland. Smith responded with a 7-4 win over Leslie Noye (Alberton, PEI). Smith won 7-3 against Justin Campbell (Summerside, PEI). Smith went on to lose 8-1 against Matthew MacLean (Cornwall, PEI). Smith responded with a 1-0 win over Noye in their final qualifying round match.
