To advance to the championship game, Horgan won 8-6 over Cody Tetreault (Thessalon, ON) in the semifinals of the 2014 Northern Ontario Juniors in Longlac, Ontario;
 
Horgan finished 5-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Horgan lost 7-4 to Tetreault, then responded with a 8-5 win over Sam Cull (Sudbury, ON). Horgan won 10-1 against Cedric Lachance (Longlac, ON). Horgan went on to lose 7-2 against Matthew Smith (Thunder Bay, ON). Horgan responded with a 7-5 win over Nick Dawson (Sault Ste Marie, ON). Horgan won 7-6 against Isaac Keffer (Thunder Bay, ON), then won 7-2 against Potter in their final qualifying round match.
