After advancing directly to the championship game, Jordan Potter (Thunder Bay, ON) lost 6-4 to Tanner Horgan (Sudbury, ON) in the Final of the Northern Ontario Juniors, held January 2 - 5, 2014 in Longlac, Ontario.
 
Potter finished 6-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Potter defeated Cedric Lachance (Longlac, ON) 10-4, then won 10-4 against Matthew Smith (Thunder Bay, ON) and 7-4 against Sam Cull (Sudbury, ON). Potter won 9-4 against Cody Tetreault (Thessalon, ON), then won 8-2 against Isaac Keffer (Thunder Bay, ON) and 6-4 against Nick Dawson (Sault Ste Marie, ON). Potter went on to lose 7-2 against Horgan in their final qualifying round match.
 
. For week of the event schedule, Potter did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Potter ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
