Balsdon went on to lose 9-3 against Rob Rumfeldt (Guelph, ON). Balsdon responded with a 7-3 win over Jake Walker (Brampton, ON). Balsdon won 8-6 against Rob Lobel (Whitby, ON), then won 11-3 against Shannon Beddows (Cannington, ON) and 8-5 against Craig Van Ymeren (St. Thomas, ON). Balsdon won 5-3 against Howard. Balsdon went on to lose 10-4 against Bryan Cochrane (Ottawa, ON). Balsdon responded with a 10-6 win over John Epping (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Ontario Travelers Tankard Championship title, Balsdon earned 16.000 world rankings points, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 20th place overall with 122.555 total points. Balsdon ranks 22nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 51.650 points earned so far this season.
