China's Rui Liu went on to lose 8-7 against Japan's Yusuke Morozumi. China's Rui Liu responded with a 9-3 win over Australia's Hugh Millikin in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships Championship title, China's Rui Liu earned 11.250 world rankings points, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 15th place overall with 124.280 total points.
