Joanisse lost 6-3 to Brent Yamada (Kamloops, BC) where Joanisse responded with a 8-4 win over Chris Baier (Victoria, BC). Joanisse went on to lose 8-6 against Tom Buchy (Kimberley, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
