In their opening game, Grattan defeated New Brunswick's Terry Odishaw 7-6, then won 11-3 against New Brunswick's Brody Hanson and 8-4 against New Brunswick's Shane Longley. Grattan won 7-4 against New Brunswick's Shaun Mott. Grattan went on to lose 6-4 against New Brunswick's Wayne Tallon. Grattan responded with a 9-5 win over New Brunswick's Paul Dobson. Grattan won 6-5 against New Brunswick's Marc LeCocq in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the New Brunswick Tankard Championship title, Grattan earned 4.000 world rankings points, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 43rd place overall with 43.635 total points.
