James Grattan (Oromocto, NB) won 8-7 over New Brunswick's Marc LeCocq in the Final Grattan advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the New Brunswick Tankard, held February 5 - 9, 2014 in Moncton, New Brunswick.

Grattan finished 6-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Grattan defeated New Brunswick's Terry Odishaw 7-6, then won 11-3 against New Brunswick's Brody Hanson and 8-4 against New Brunswick's Shane Longley. Grattan won 7-4 against New Brunswick's Shaun Mott. Grattan went on to lose 6-4 against New Brunswick's Wayne Tallon. Grattan responded with a 9-5 win over New Brunswick's Paul Dobson. Grattan won 6-5 against New Brunswick's Marc LeCocq in their final qualifying round match.
