Karst lost 8-5 to Jennifer Paine (Columbus, OH) where Karst responded with a 9-5 win over Sarah Walsh (Oakland, CA). Karst went on to lose 10-9 against Norma O'Leary (Duluth, MN). Karst responded with a 12-5 win over Jamie Kraus (Duluth, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
