Pete Fenson (Bemidji, MN) won 9-3 over Craig Brown (Madison, WI) in the Final of the USA National Championship, held March 1 - 8, 2014 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
 
Fenson finished 6-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fenson defeated Brown 7-2, then went on to lose 6-5 against John Shuster (Duluth, MN). Fenson responded with a 7-4 win over Brady Clark (Seattle, WA). Fenson won 7-6 against Heath McCormick (Duluth, MN). Fenson went on to lose 7-6 against Eric Fenson (Bemidji, MN). Fenson lost 5-2 to Tyler George (New York, NY) where Fenson responded with a 8-5 win over Alex Leichter (Rochester, NY). Fenson won 7-2 against Paul Pustovar (Duluth, MN), then won 6-4 against Peter Stolt (St. Paul, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the USA National Championship Championship title, Fenson earned 45.000 world rankings points. For week 30 of the event schedule, Fenson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Fenson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
