Kim finished 7-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim defeated Gina Aitken (Edinburgh, SCO) 10-7, then went on to lose 16-3 against Cory Christensen (Duluth, USA). Kim responded with a 8-7 win over Corina Mani (Aarau, SUI). Kim won 8-6 against Rocque, then won 9-5 against Christine Svensen (Hvidovre, DEN). Kim went on to lose 6-5 against Isabella Wrana (Sundbyberg, SWE). Kim responded with a 7-5 win over Alina Kovaleva (Moscow, RUS). Kim won 7-5 against Veronica Zappone (Pinerolo, ITA), then won 8-6 against Zuzana Hajkova (Prague, CZE) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the World Junior Championships, Kim take home 5.000 world rankings points, moving up 23 spots the World Ranking Standings into 82nd place overall with 13.720 total points. Kim ranks 98th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.000 points earned so far this season.
