Koe finished 9-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe lost 7-6 to Morris, then responded with a 10-1 win over James Grattan (Oromocto, NB). Koe won 9-4 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL), then won 8-3 against Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, Y/NWT) and 10-4 against Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB). Koe won 9-3 against Jeff Currie (Thunder Bay, NONT), then won 8-5 against Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) and 7-3 against Jamie Murphy (Lower Sackville, NS). Koe won 10-5 against Greg Balsdon (Hamilton, ON), then won 9-6 against Eddie MacKenzie (Charlottetown, PEI). Koe went on to lose 7-5 against Jean-Michel Menard (St-Romauld, PQ) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Tim Hortons Brier Championship title, Koe earned 45.000 world rankings points. Koe move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 30.12 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 3rd overall with 416.600 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
