Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) won 8-6 over Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Masters of Curling, held October 28 - November 2, 2014 in Selkirk, Manitoba. To advance to the championship game, Gushue won 6-5 over John Epping (Toronto, ON) in the semifinals of the 2014 Masters of Curling in Selkirk, Manitoba; and won 5-4 over Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals.
 
Gushue finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushue lost 5-3 to Stoughton, then responded with a 6-4 win over Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR). Gushue won 5-2 against Glenn Howard (Penetanguishene, ON), then won 7-3 against Epping in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Masters of Curling Championship title, Gushue earned 40.000 world rankings points along with the $24,500CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 3rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 287.133 total points. Gushue ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 105.000 points earned so far this season.
