Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) run at the 2014 Canadian Open came to an end in the semifinals with a 6-5 loss to Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK). of the 2014 Canadian Open in Yorkton, Saskatchewan; Bottcher advanced through the quarterfinals with a 6-3 win over Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB).
