Advancing directly to the semifinals, McEwen won 7-3 over John Epping (Toronto, ON) to advance to the championship game. of the 2015 Players' Championship in Toronto, Ontario;
 
McEwen finished 5-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McEwen defeated Sven Michel (Adelboden, SUI) 7-5, then won 8-3 against Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) and 7-5 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB). McEwen won 5-1 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE), then won 6-4 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Players' Championship, McEwen take home 30.000 world rankings points along with the $19,500CDN prize, remaining in 2nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 12 after improving upon their best so far this season. McEwen ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 287.000 points earned so far this season.
