Inglis finished 3-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Inglis defeated Touri Koana (Yamanashi, JPN) 6-3, then won 6-2 against Erika Brown (Madison, WI). Inglis went on to lose 6-5 against Cathy Auld (Toronto, ON). Inglis responded with a 7-5 win over Marie Christianson (St. John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.
