Liu won 6-4 against Imogen Oona Lehmann (Garmisch-Partenkirchen, GER), then won 9-3 against Madeleine Dupont (Hvidovre, DEN). Liu went on to lose 10-2 against Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS). Liu lost 10-5 to Margaretha Sigfridsson (Harnosand, SWE). Liu lost 6-4 to Rachel Homan (Ottawa, CAN) in their final qualifying round match.
