Gibson finished 2-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gibson defeated Patti Knezevic (Prince George, BC) 7-5, then won 5-3 against Kelly Shimizu (Richmond, BC). Gibson went on to lose 7-4 against Kelly Scott (Kelowna, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
