Mjoen responded with a 9-2 win over Alf Christian Fahle (Trondheim, NOR). Mjoen won 7-6 against Magnus Ramsfjell (Jar, NOR), then won 4-1 against Ola Hindseth (Oppdal, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Norway Curling Championship, Mjoen take home 2.550 world rankings points, moving up 38 spots the World Ranking Standings into 165th place overall with 6.550 total points. Mjoen ranks 123rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 6.550 points earned so far this season.
