Fenson went on to lose 9-5 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN). Fenson responded with a 8-3 win over Johnny Jahr (Hamburg, GER). Fenson went on to lose 8-6 against Ewan MacDonald (Perth, SCO). Fenson lost 7-4 to Kevin Koe (Edmonton, CAN). Fenson lost 8-4 to Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN) where Fenson responded with a 6-5 win over Rasmus Stjerne (Hvidovre, DEN). Fenson went on to lose 6-4 against Thomas Ulsrud (Snaroen, NOR). Fenson lost 8-5 to Peter de Cruz (Geneve, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

Fenson earned 6.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 24th place overall with 105.240 total points. Fenson ranks 17th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 72.625 points earned so far this season.
