Clint Dieno (Saskatoon, SK) qualified for the 2014 Point Optical Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-1 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, ON).
 
Dieno finished 5-2 in the 26-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dieno defeated Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB) 5-4, then went on to lose 7-1 against Peter De Cruz (Geneva, SUI). Dieno responded with a 8-3 win over Christopher Plys (Blaine, USA). Dieno won 6-5 against Bruce Korte (Saskatoon, SK), then won 5-3 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB). Dieno went on to lose 7-0 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN). Dieno responded with a 4-3 win over Stoughton in their final qualifying round match.
 
Dieno earned 15.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Point Optical Curling Classic, moving up 66 spots the World Ranking Standings into 52nd place overall with 21.416 total points. Dieno ranks 16th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 15.000 points earned so far this season.
