Dieno responded with a 8-3 win over Christopher Plys (Blaine, USA). Dieno won 6-5 against Bruce Korte (Saskatoon, SK), then won 5-3 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB). Dieno went on to lose 7-0 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN). Dieno responded with a 4-3 win over Stoughton in their final qualifying round match.
 
Dieno earned 15.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Point Optical Curling Classic, moving up 66 spots the World Ranking Standings into 52nd place overall with 21.416 total points. Dieno ranks 16th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 15.000 points earned so far this season.
