To advance to the championship game, Paetz won 5-3 over Danielle Inglis (Ottawa, ON) in the semifinals of the 2014 Stu Sells Oakville Tankard in Oakville, Ontario; and won 7-1 over Erin Morrissey (Ottawa, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Stu Sells Oakville Tankard in Oakville, Ontario;
 
Paetz finished 4-0 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Paetz defeated Morrissey 5-4, then won 5-3 against Roxane Perron (Trois-Rivieres, QC) and 8-2 against Brit O'Neill (Ottawa, ON). Paetz won 6-4 against Tracy Horgan (Sudbury , NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
