Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR) won 6-5 over Peter De Cruz (Geneva, SUI) in the Final of the Baden Masters, held August 29 - 31, 2014 in Baden, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, Ulsrud won 7-6 over Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2014 Baden Masters in Baden, Switzerland; and won 8-3 over Andrey Drozdov (Moscow, RUS) in the quarterfinals.
 
Ulsrud finished 4-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ulsrud defeated Stefan Haesler (Bern, SUI) 4-2, then won 9-2 against Ritvars Gulbis (Riga, LAT) and 7-5 against Marc Pfister (Bern, SUI). Ulsrud won 6-2 against Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, UK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Baden Masters Championship title, Ulsrud earned 21.180 world rankings points along with the $13,030CDN first prize cheque. Ulsrud gained 199.75 points improving upon their best events, though dropped 2 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 2ndplace overall with 199.750 total points. Ulsrud ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 21.180 points earned so far this season.
