Chris Wimmer (Cookstown, ON) won 8-1 over Michael Shepherd (Richmond Hill, ON) in the Final of the COMCO Cash Spiel, held November 13 - 16, 2014 at the Stroud Curling Club in Innisfil, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Wimmer won 7-0 over Ken Leach (Oakville, ON) in the semifinals of the 2014 COMCO Cash Spiel in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada; and won 8-3 over Dennis Moretto (Oakville, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 COMCO Cash Spiel in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada;

Wimmer finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wimmer defeated Bill Irwin (Barrie, ON) 7-6, then won 9-4 against Don Cahoon (Stroud, ON) and 9-2 against John Bell (Unionville, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the COMCO Cash Spiel Championship title, Wimmer earned 2.500 world rankings points along with the $3,600CDN first prize cheque, moving up 21 spots the World Ranking Standings into 107th place overall with 10.426 total points. Wimmer ranks 126th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.500 points earned so far this season.
