To advance to the championship game, Pierce won 5-4 over Jim Cotter (Kelowna/Vernon, BC) in the semifinals of the 2014 Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada; and won 7-5 over Sean Geall (New Westminster, BC) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada;
 
Pierce finished 4-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Pierce defeated Sebastien Robillard (Vancouver, BC) 7-1, then went on to lose 6-5 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN). Pierce responded with a 7-0 win over Brady Clark (Seattle, WA). Pierce won 7-6 against Geall, then won 5-4 against Morozumi in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic, Pierce take home 6.965 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN prize, moving up 13 spots the World Ranking Standings into 49th place overall with 22.622 total points. Pierce ranks 29th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.215 points earned so far this season.
