To advance to the championship game, Carey won 6-5 over Nicky Kaufman (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2014 Boundary Ford Curling Classic in Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada; and won 10-5 over Alberta's Tiffany Game in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Boundary Ford Curling Classic in Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada;
 
Carey finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Carey defeated Alberta's Katie Morrissey 9-4, then won 7-5 against Brett Barber (Biggar, SK). Carey went on to lose 8-4 against Trish Paulsen (Saskatoon, SK). Carey responded with a 9-5 win over Alberta's Tiffany Game. Carey won 5-2 against Korea's Suji Kim in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Boundary Ford Curling Classic Championship title, Carey earned 7.300 world rankings points along with the $7,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 15th place overall with 80.193 total points. Carey ranks 18th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 37.950 points earned so far this season.
