To advance to the championship game, Sweeting won 4-3 over Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) in the semifinals of the 2014 Masters of Curling in Selkirk, Manitoba; and won 5-2 over Alina Paetz (Baden Regio, SUI) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Masters of Curling in Selkirk, Manitoba;
Sweeting finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sweeting defeated Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB) 7-4, then won 7-4 against Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS). Sweeting went on to lose 7-3 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB). Sweeting responded with a 9-3 win over Allison Flaxey (Listowel, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Masters of Curling Championship title, Sweeting earned 40.000 world rankings points along with the $24,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 6th place overall with 189.068 total points. Sweeting ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 70.080 points earned so far this season.
