Thurston went on to lose 7-6 against Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Thurston earned 3.086 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 13th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 87.111 total points. Thurston ranks 9th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 65.236 points earned so far this season.
