Alina Paetz (Baden Regio, SUI) won 5-4 over Trish Paulsen (Saskatoon, SK) in the Final of the Red Deer Curling Classic, held November 14 - 17, 2014 in Red Deer, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Paetz won 6-5 over Shannon Kleibrink (Calgary, AB) in the semifinals of the 2014 Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta; and won 7-6 over Crystal Webster (Calgary, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta;
 
Paetz finished 4-2 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Paetz defeated Alberta's Leslie Rogers 8-2, then won 7-3 against Michelle Englot (Regina, SK). Paetz went on to lose 6-5 against Webster. Paetz lost 6-4 to Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB) where Paetz responded with a 5-4 win over Teryn Hamilton (Calgary, AB). Paetz won 5-2 against Kelly Scott (Kelowna, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Red Deer Curling Classic Championship title, Paetz earned 22.440 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 10th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 141.719 total points. Paetz ranks 7th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 82.700 points earned so far this season.
