Craig went on to lose 6-5 against Chris Baier (Victoria, BC). Craig responded with a 7-2 win over Hayato Matsumura (Karuizawa, JPN). Craig went on to lose 7-5 against Baier in their final qualifying round match.

Craig earned 0.750 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Vancouver Island Shootout, moving up 53 spots the World Ranking Standings into 275th place overall with 1.050 total points. Craig ranks 197th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 0.750 points earned so far this season.
