Pierce responded with a 4-3 win over Chris Baier (Victoria, BC). Pierce went on to lose 6-5 against Dean Joanisse (New Westminster, BC). Pierce lost 9-2 to Neil Dangerfield (Victoria, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Pierce earned 0.750 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Vancouver Island Shootout, remaining in 53rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 30.722 total points. Pierce ranks 40th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 16.315 points earned so far this season.
