Diane Gushulak (New Westminster, BC) lost 6-3 to Sarah Wark (Victoria, BC) in the Final of the Vancouver Island Shootout, held November 21 - 23, 2014 at the Victoria Curling Club in Victoria, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Gushulak won 6-4 over Amy Gibson (Vancouver, BC) in the semifinals
 
Gushulak are currently 2-2 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushulak defeated Stephanie Prinse (Surrey, BC) 5-0, then went on to lose 8-3 against Yukon's Sarah Koltun. Gushulak responded with a 5-2 win over Dailene Sivertson (Victoria , BC). Gushulak went on to lose 6-5 against Wark. In their opening game, Gushulak plays.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Vancouver Island Shootout, Gushulak take home 0.000 world rankings points along with the $1,800CDN prize. For week 13 of the event schedule, Gushulak did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 87th to 88th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 8.775 total points. Gushulak ranks 117th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.375 points earned so far this season.
