To advance to the championship game, Ferris won 7-2 over Jeff Brown (North Bay, NONT) in the semifinals of the 2014 Tim Hortons Scugog Cup Cash Spiel in Port Perry, Ontario, Canada;
 
Ferris finished 4-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ferris defeated Bob Turcotte (Toronto, ON) 7-6, then went on to lose 5-2 against Jon St. Denis (Stouffville, ON). Ferris responded with a 7-5 win over John Bell (Unionville, ON). Ferris won 7-4 against Jim Bell (Toronto, ON), then won 7-1 against Nathan Martin (Oshawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Tim Hortons Scugog Cup Cash Spiel, Ferris take home 1.750 world rankings points along with the $1,400CDN prize, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 37th place overall with 38.776 total points. Ferris ranks 25th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 26.600 points earned so far this season.
