Roy Arndt (Toronto, ON) lost 4-3 to Peter Mellor (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) in the Final of the Port Elgin Superspiel, held November 21 - 23, 2014 at the Port Elgin Curling Club in Port Elgin, Canada. and won 6-5 over Damien Villard (Galt, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Port Elgin Superspiel in Port Elgin, Ontario, Canada;
 
Arndt finished 3-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Arndt defeated Steve Gregg (Paisley, ON) 6-4, then won 8-3 against Dave Cobean (Port Elgin, ON). Arndt went on to lose 7-2 against Mellor. Arndt responded with a 5-4 win over Scott Ballantyne (Owen Sound, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Port Elgin Superspiel, Arndt take home 1.750 world rankings points along with the $3,100CDN prize, moving up 37 spots the World Ranking Standings into 190th place overall with 3.750 total points. Arndt ranks 153rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.750 points earned so far this season.
