Se Hyeon Seong (Uiseong, KOR) lost 5-2 to Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) in the Final of the Karuizawa International, held December 18 - 21, 2014 in Karuizawa, Japan.
 
Seong finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Seong defeated Tamotsu Matsumura (Karuizawa, JPN) 6-1, then won 6-4 against Hiromitsu Fujinaka (Okayama, JPN). Seong went on to lose 6-5 against Suguru Tsukamoto (Kanagawa, JPN). Seong lost 13-0 to Koe in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Karuizawa International, Seong take home 4.200 world rankings points along with the $5,820CDN prize, moving up 61 spots the World Ranking Standings into 159th place overall with 6.887 total points. Seong ranks 122nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.200 points earned so far this season.
