Montford finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Montford defeated Lisa Menard (Dauphin , MB) 8-4, then won 8-3 against Einarson and 7-6 against Kristy McDonald (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the The Sunova Spiel at East St. Paul Championship title, Montford earned 7.100 world rankings points along with the $2,600CDN first prize cheque, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 38th place overall with 35.100 total points.
