Johnson finished 5-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Johnson defeated Pierce 6-5, then won 9-2 against Glen Jackson (Victoria, BC) and 5-3 against Jamie Sexton (Vernon, BC). Johnson won 7-6 against Washington's Brady Clark, then won 4-2 against British Columbia's Sebastien Robillard in their final qualifying round match.
 
Johnson earned 3.675 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Hub International Crown of Curling, moving up 15 spots the World Ranking Standings into 78th place overall with 14.325 total points. Johnson ranks 72nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.675 points earned so far this season.
