Gim won 4-3 against Kesa Van Osch (Nanaimo, BC), then won 8-3 against Stephanie Prinse (Chilliwack, BC). Gim went on to lose 7-3 against Cissi Ostlund (Karlstad, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
