David Murdoch (Stirling, SCO) lost 8-2 to Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Whites Drug Store Classic, held November 7 - 10, 2014 at the Swan River Curling Club in Swan River, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Murdoch won 7-1 over Clint Dieno (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals of the 2014 Whites Drug Store Classic in Swan River, Manitoba, Canada; and won 8-5 over Mario Freiberger (Zug, SUI) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Whites Drug Store Classic in Swan River, Manitoba, Canada;

Murdoch finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Murdoch defeated Neal Watkins (Swan River, MB) 8-5, then went on to lose 7-5 against Dieno. Murdoch responded with a 10-2 win over Brent Scales (Swan River, MB). Murdoch won 6-0 against Drew Heidt (Kindersley, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Whites Drug Store Classic, Murdoch take home 7.490 world rankings points along with the $7,000CDN prize, remaining in 10th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 173.339 total points. Murdoch ranks 12th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 59.649 points earned so far this season.
