Sven Michel (Adelboden, SUI) lost 6-2 to Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the German Masters, held January 23 - 25, 2015 in Hamburg, Germany. To advance to the championship game, Michel won 7-4 over Jiri Snitil (Prague, CZE) in the semifinals of the 2015 German Masters in Hamburg, Germany; and won 6-3 over Andy Kapp (Fuessen, GER) in the quarterfinals. of the 2015 German Masters in Hamburg, Germany;
 
Michel finished 4-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Michel defeated Torkil Svensgaard (Hvidovre, DEN) 6-2, then won 7-6 against Thomas Loevold (Oslo, NOR) and 5-4 against Jialiang Zang (Harbin, CHN). Michel won 4-2 against Felix Schulze (Hamburg, GER) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the German Masters, Michel take home 11.060 world rankings points along with the $4,236CDN prize, remaining in 11th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 6.06 after improving upon their best so far this season. Michel ranks 10th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 105.780 points earned so far this season.
